The
Stafford is active, agile, highly
intelligent, affectionate
(especially with children),
trustworthy, dependable, tolerant
and most importantly
totally reliable.
He is very much a victim of his
environment,
and if raised with cats, birds,
sheep, horses or other dogs they
will grow together to be the best of
friends.
The breed is suitable for urban or
rural areas.
His smooth coat and medium size
(eating about
half a kilogram of meat per day)
make him perfect
for the family home in the suburbs
or walking in outback Australia.

The Stafford has proven his ability
in the obedience ring and he is
fairly represented in these areas.
He loves a game of ball, swimming,
daily walks on the lead, but
most of all his greatest ambition is
to
curl up in front of the fire with
you - his owner…
The Staffordshire Bull Terrier is a
"peoples dog"

A breed of exceptional
character, he is the companion
depicted as Bill Skyes dog in the
Charles Dickens classic, Oliver. He
has played many a part in children's
screen lives, notably as
Bullseye in the 1940 series Ourgang.
The breed is cared for in every
state of Australia.
