I was very much aware of the honour extended to me by the Committee of the SBTS of NSW to judge their 82nd Ch Show which I appreciated. My thanks in particular to Kerrie, Kim, & Peta Reeder, Sue and David Scott for their hospitality and the sightseeing trips which I enjoyed immensely on this my first trip to Australia, a great experience in a wonderful diverse part of the World. I thought the atmosphere at the show was calm, efficient and enjoyable, I must thank my hardworking Steward in the ring John Mulcahy. Also most important, my sincere thanks to the exhibitors for a wonderful entry, their dogs were well trained and handled in a sporting manner. Now to the dogs, on a positive note they had substance and quality with level toplines resulting in correct tail carriage, I had some really well shaped heads, neat ears, round eyes well placed to give the right expression, features I admire in the breed. On the negative side I was very disappointed to find so many bad mouths, i.e. some flush, others with converging canines going up into the roof of the mouth, some were cut halfway to avoid this happening, also 2 dogs could not close their mouths at all. I had no option but to penalise this in some otherwise very good specimens. Ms Una Rigney
